Boyden & Sophie
Sophie passed away last Tuesday. I am certain she is with her brother Boyden in the spirit world. This is one of my favourite photographs. I will always miss them.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, would recommend

Number 1 Amazon Kindle Best Seller (Supernatural and Reincarnation Category)

Chrissie James is a troubled soul: with family problems, unexplained phobias and a stalker to contend with, she seeks help with a hypnotherapist. Whilst in therapy, Chrissie discovers she has led a past life.
Will living a previous life help Chrissie to discover the truth of what caused her fears and phobias, and will she find out who is stalking her?
The Other Place is a paranormal mystery. Its many twists and turns will keep you guessing to the very end.

Misty Blue
This book is well worth a look for the sheer originality and compassion the author shows in her writing and in her characters.

S Douthwaite
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I felt drawn in and invited into a lovely story with emotional twists, supernatural wonder and family values. I love the way the author cleverly dips the characters in and out a past life. The story really flows. I found this an unusual plot and very good, especially the ending. The Other Place is a very special place.

5 * review Loving this book bit slow to start with ,,but a good enjoyment facter as it is reaveling itsel still reading ,Thankyou

Embroidery projects to do and finished ones for sale.

Blithfield Bird Sanctuary
Beside the reservoir - autumn 2014

This is one of my favourite photographs. Yesterday I made a transfer of it. I remembered to reverse the image before printing it! I had previously prepared a piece of white cotton material, which I  backed with iron on interfacing. I allow at least two inches all round allowing for distortion when using freestyle embroidery.
Before pressing the transfer on I ensured the material was free of hairs (my dog constantly sheds hair, even though she is brushed regularly). I use masking tape to ensure the surface is clear. If a hair is left either between the interfacing, or on the actual transfer when it's on the material it's almost impossible to remove it. It's not a problem if it's in an area that you're going to embroider, but I've found them in the sky before now! I've started from scratch when this has happened.
If you are interested in any of the embroideries please email  carol.arnall@ntlworld.com

Wild flower meadow at Blithfield 2012

Here's another favourite photograph. I'm looking forward to embroidering this picture.
I have prepared the material the same using the methods I detailed above
I will add a few beads to the front of the picture after first embroidering the background with freestyle embroidery and a little hand embroidery.

Blithfield April 2014

I've prepared this picture exactly the same as the previous ones above. The transfer has turned out a little dark so I will use fabric paints to lighten it if the cottons don't work a miracle for me.
I will highlight the foreground with yellow and green beads.

 Fiery Sky £20.00
I painted this picture a year or so ago. I highlighted it with freestyle embroidery and embellished it with beads afterwards.

Another Fiery Sky! £20.00
On the same theme as the above but without the addition of the beads. I enjoyed painting and embroidering these two picture so much I may well do another one.
On the way to Longdon fishing lodge - Cannock Chase
Worked in freestyle embroidery on a transfer.

Longdon bluebell woods - £15,00
I've recently finished another embroidery of this scene. It will be a gift for someone I know. I do vary repeat picture a little to make them individual. This is worked on a transfer from a photograph.

A bluebell embroidery with a few tips on how I've embroidered it.

The light wasn't very good when I took this picture.
I made a transfer of an orignal embroidery of the woods that I made a few years ago. I backed the material first with 3 sheets of medium interfacing.
I have embroidered the trees with different shades of grey cotton. I used freestyle embroidery, and put the machine on straight stitch.

This picture shows where I have added the tree leaves using different shades of green cotton. I've also embroidered the grass verges. Again I used freestyle machine embroidery. For this part of the embroidery I used zig-zag stitch set to 1 mm and 1.5 mm.
I still have to embroider the bluebells.
Once finished the picture will be stretched and framed.

Completed.
The embroidery is now ready for stretching and framing.
I have trimmed the ends from the front and rear of the picture, and will be framing it in the next couple of days.

Ghost Writers and other books written by David Shaw

In this life-affirming book, author David Shaw explores ten major themes that affect us all – and offers a unique way to engage with them.
Whether it’s fear or forgiveness, credence or clarity, materialism or acceptance, Shaw gives us the benefit of ten spiritual authors who pen their intriguing and stimulating words through him as modern parables.
In doing so they offer us a steadying rudder in the choppy, often violent, sea of life’s cruelties and uncertainties.
Presenting an engaging and fascinating blend of fiction and nonfiction, Ghost Writers presents in a non-stuffy style information whose light-hearted humour belies its powerful emotional punch.

I have read this book and it's a brilliant informative read.

Product Description

Dreaming While Awake a new novel and other books written by Toni Bunnell

Dreaming While Awake

Product Description

It has been said that if you are sleep-deprived for long enough you will start to hallucinate, see images of things that do not exist, during daylight hours. Such a phenomenon could well be described as ‘dreaming while awake’. Most dreams will vanish from our conscious minds forever once we are awake. But what about those dreams that hold us in their thrall? That come back night after night to haunt us? Some are terrifying for those amongst us who have nightmares, while others are pleasant or at least benign. Dreaming while awake is full of endless possibilities. Who is to say what is real and what is not? When you look around you and see an image floating past, what if you could reach into the image and enter it, exactly as you enter a dream? Following every twist and turn, not turning back, not knowing where the dream will take you and when, or if, it will end. Would you take that risk? Would you reach into the dream and enter it, leaving behind the real world, possibly forever? Would you take the chance, make a leap of faith, clutch at it with both hands? This is the story of four people who did exactly that.....
No-one saw the figure that shifted slightly in the shadows in the alleyway beside the pub. A figure that seemed to hardly exist at all and whose substance seemed to come from the shadows themselves. As the breeze moved through the alleyway the figure seemed to alter shape, much as a swirling mist or fog twists and turns upon itself, giving the impression that a person exists when, in fact, there is no-one there.....

Product Description

Cliffe is a typical student trying to exist on next to nothing while he pursues his studies in theoretical physics. His investigation of a seemingly innocuous crack in the ceiling leads him to a world he would never have believed existed.
Andulan Ruskin daydreams her life away on her parents’ farm in the Yorkshire Dales. She lives in a world far removed from Cliffe’s, in more ways than one.
A chance parting of the thin veil that separates their worlds draws them closer together in a way that could not have been forseen and which has far-reaching consequences.
This novel will appeal to those who seek answers to things that cannot always be explained and tests the very nature of all that we think we know.

Product Description

Andulan Ruskin has transcended time. She has stepped through a trap door and passed from a farmhouse in Glaisdale, in 1952, to a house in York in 2012.
One minute Andulan was nine years old, the next she was nineteen. She is about to embark on a new life in a new century; a life that will challenge her beyond her wildest dreams and that will twist and turn in mysterious ways.

Product Description

Twelve stories that give an off the wall account of life as seen through the eyes of a black and white border collie dog born on a farm in Derbyshire. His parents and grandparents were working dogs and herded sheep as required. The first born of nine, Sweeper Joe the Hero had an unusual approach to life which affected all those who he met both far and near, but mostly near. Never one to shirk his duty he was a dog that upheld a way of life that is no longer seen in the 21st century, which is probably just as well.
